In response to Daniel Arsham’s gradient works, I Have created a piece of three clocks as a small scale test to see what my idea would look like from black to white.
The vague clock faces showing through each clock is by far my favourite part as each clock varies in how rugged they look creating an overall realistic distressed effect. I want to create contrast by adding text to the clocks, however I don’t think the placement of the text on the face of the clocks will work as it will look out of place and un-needed, I will try adding text digitally to see what the outcome would look like as I think I will prefer the blank clocks letting the paint and gradient do the work.
