In these photographs I took strong inspiration from Frora Borsi’s “IREEL” photo set which I have already talked about on my blog, as well as incorporating this style onto my own paintings, I wanted to incorporate it into real people using photography, with clear sheets of plastic. I painted flesh like tones the we’re expressively painted to act as a facial manipulation when held up in front of someone’s face, I also created ones that have sketches of manipulated facial features to hold up in front of a face to act as another layer to a face, rather than replacing what is already there.
