When on a gallery visit I went along to Baltic 39 to look at the exhibition from Northumbria University, it was overall very interesting to see what contemporary works are being created now by these university students, a lot of conceptual works from very creative people. Most of the works I wasn’t amazingly keen on, however there was one that I liked a lot, it was a sculpture of a reconstructed campfire, with materials being switched round in place of normal objects such as meat and a tent without any cover on top, just revealing the structure. I really enjoyed the over all feal of this piece giving you the comfort of a cosy campfire, but changing elements to make you feal on edge, thus giving you a weird contrast of emotions.
