Artist: Chris Guest

Chris Guest is an artist that I have been looking at whilst creating my project. On the portraiture side of things, Guest has been a big inspiration with figurative painting as his work is very expressive, which is a genre of portraiture that I am not used to but I have taken a huge liking to it. Also Chris’ mediums usually consist of oil on board or watercolour on paper, as I usually only use either acrylic on paper or acrylic on canvas I have tried using different techniques such as bigger and expressive brush strokes and changing my mediums, I have so far done three watercolour portraits and I am yet to try done oil paintings.
