Vaguely Figurative

when I'm stuck for what to do or if I'm stuck for ideas I have been giving myself a set time to create a quick piece to force myself to use more expressive brush strokes when painting or more expensive lines and marks when drawing. I also have been just drawing the first thing that comes to my head and using a cubism type effect on a figurative image by drawing different parts of the face looking in different direction to create an odd drawing of a face, and I have been using these quick paintings and sketches as a base for something new and to take inspiration from.
