Sean Yoro, also known as The Hula is widely known for his breathtaking water murals. It was these pieces that caught my eye with Yoro, using the water to compliment such a big mural by making it look as if the models in the painting were bathing in the water. I love the idea of the painting connecting with the real world, making it look as if it is doing something that is not in the painting such as pushing against a wall or bathing in water, and it was this idea that really got me inspired by The Hula. Being a self-taught artist Yoro captures the soft angelic look of the models in his murals perfectly, giving his portraits a really nice style that I enjoy. However, the overall beauty of his work is not the painting, not what the painting is doing but how it works with the environment around it, using the nature surrounding the work to become part of it, it is the overall look to his work that I find fascinating and amazing.
